Bringing to you most of the paintings I have done over many years. Some from the very beginning and some more recent. They mark a passage of time, of learning, of aching, of sorrow, of longing, of heartache and betrayal, of love and kindness, of romance and laughter. All this I remember in each painting - I remember exactly how I felt when I was creating the work - where I was, how I was. I remember crying, dancing and laughing. I remember the pain and utter frustration and the desperation when hours of toil just ended up looking miserable - no where near what I was trying to say.
To create in any material form is to "put yourself out there". It is a moment of showing up, standing bare before your fellow man. And even if the pieces are not always well received, they are still worth honoring for the moment that they represent in a life.
Could someone do this better - certainly - but the images are mine, painted from my heart.
And so we are the paintings of our own journey through this life. We show-up, we express ourselves in our own unique way and one day, when we stand back to view the work, it is my deepest wish that for each of us, we view our life work as a Masterpiece.
